I'd just like to say you're doing a really nice job managing this community. I like the variety of pictures from different times of RDA's career and also the new format, with the smaller picture and not having to go behind a cut. :-D

Aw, thank you! I'm really glad the new format is going over so well. I really prefer it this way myself. It's so nice to have a few small pics to glance at while reading through my flist. :)

Damn, that's a nice cap! :) I love "Pandora's Clock" for that reason, mainly. Jesus, is he HOT in it. Not just hot -- he looks like Jack, basically, and he plays the character a bit like Jack. I sometimes like to think of PC as this weird AU in which Jack retired early from the military and became an airline pilot. (Seriously, that big showdown at the end -- you can *so* see Jack doing that, can't you? If he had a 747 at his disposal?)

This cap makes me weep for one reason: look at that hair! It's perfect! It's going grey perfectly! And this was shot in the year prior to SG-1 starting. Why didn't they just keep THIS hair?

Maybe in a technical sense it's "too long" for military regulations; I'm not sure. (I know that Jack's S3 hair *was* too long, and after a while the USAF liaison let them know, which is why he finally shows up with a much shorter cut at the end of the season.) Well, fine, then. But why did they cover the grey? Aaigh!

I could totally see the airline pilot AU theory. He really was very Jack-like in PC. Quite alpha-male and yet compassionate. Always keeping a cool head. Painfully handsome. Although, I'm a bit concerned as to what he might say to the passengers over the com. He'd eventually make some sort of inappropriate joke that would have them all filing past him, white-faced and haunted, while they deboard. *g*

I just capped a few eps from S3, and I see what you mean about his hair. I know officers have more latitude with the length of their hair, but yeah, I think it still can't be touching the ears. I'm not sure. It looks pretty borderline to me. I like the shaved-up look he sports in later seasons.

But they should never cover the silver. NEVER. I don't mind when they add color back in because I think he's pretty much totally white now, but leave some silver in it. YES.

GUH! he looks so perfect! the hair, the stubble, the eyes *melts*
He looks his best in season 3-7 in SG-1, the first 2 seasons when the TPB ask to dye his hair brown is cringeworthy :(

Oh yeah,I agree. The dye was totally unnecessary. He went gray so beautifully, and it brought out his eyes so much. Those mid-seasons for Jack were just painfully hot.

darn I've been trying to find Pandora's Clock for ages. I can't find it. Not a very popular program, I'm afraid :(

No, it's really not. And I actually find the movie itself pretty mediocre, but Rick is just so damn beautiful in it. Sometimes I see it around on cable Tv in the U.S. I managed to find an online friend who had the DVD, and she lent her copy to me so I could cap it and copy it.

So much of his stuff is hard to find nowadays.
