Although he's so hot scruffy AF regulations would not allow him to grow a beard. Has to do with the seal on a gas mask not being able to seal correctly.
I read someone post somewhere about when J and T switched bodies, how J would've been out of regs if he'd shaved his head. Can you verify? (Are you military?)
Ex-military. I was in the AF from 1992-1995. There is nothing in the regs that say if a male shaves his head he's out of regs. The only thing about mens hair styles that it mentions is that it cannot be more than 1.25 inches long.
Specifically, is states in AFI 36-2903, Dress and Personal Appearance of Air Force Personnel:
Men. Men’s hair must have a tapered appearance on both sides and back, both with and without headgear. A tapered appearance is one that, when viewed from any angle, outlines the individual’s hair so that it conforms to the shape of the head, curving inward to the natural termination point. The block cut is permitted with tapered appearance. It will not be worn in an extreme or fad style or in such a way that it exceeds length or bulk standards or violates safety requirements. Hair will not touch the ears; only closely cut or shaved hair on the back of the neck may touch the collar. It will not exceed 1 1/4 inches in bulk, regardless of length, and not exceed 1/4 inch at the natural termination point. Men’s hair will not contain or have any visible foreign items attached to it.
And to expoiund...only if he had a shaving waiver would he be able to grow a beard. However the only time I really hear of that happening is when it's physically painful or something like bumps appear if you shave. IOW, there has to be a medical reason for a waiver to be granted.
But this was a "dream" sequence, wasn't it? Jack's mixed up memories. Also, the narration on the dvd says this switching of clothes was RDA's idea. I'll finish up by saying *droooooooooool*
