Legend: Birth of a Legend

In our last Thrilling Installment, Ernest bs’d fast-talked his way out of getting shot by Silas, Vera Slaughter’s son. Silas recovers from being zapped by Professor Bartok, and his mom plots revenge while the Hungarian farmers party down.*



The Professor puts on a silly hat and dances with the Attractive Lady Lawyer . . .


. . . and Ernest broods about being fêted as a hero when he knows he’s a drunken, cringing scumbag.




The happy party with the farmers is interrupted by Vera’s gunmen, reminding us that there are several commercial breaks left before the plot will be allowed to resolve. They don’t kill anyone, but it makes Ernest a bit more willing to listen to Bartok.


Back at the ranch laboratory, Ernest’s eloquence fails to convince Bartok that it’s a hopeless cause – not just the farmers’ struggle, but his own utterly un-heroic nature.


But Bartok is confident of what they can do with his inventions, plus Legend’s fame and reputation.


“Together, we can create the real Legend.”
