So many of the shots from this movie look like he's got the morning stares. I think he must've been sleep-walking through most of it.

It's been a few years since I saw it, but I seem to remember that he did his best with the material he had -- which gave him almost nothing to do for two hours except sit and stare offscreen VERY INTENSELY.

And I think I remember reading an article in which the director said something like it was good, since RDA could not "do" anything, as he normally would, but just had to sit on his ass and act, in that tiny set, and that he did it very well.

*g* Yes, there's not really much he can do, being trapped in a cockpit for the majority of the movie - but he does pretty well for all that.
